10 a.m. Tai Chi Lesson
As we continue our partnership with the Jung Center's Mind Body Spirit Institute, join us for a morning of tai chi at Heat Silhouette. Under the guidance of instructor Dr. Bing You, participants will guide their minds and bodies through the flow of each movement as they learn to train their form to maintain strength, balance, and flexibility.
This lesson will be held outdoors at the Rafael Domenech and Tomas Vu: Heat Silhouette pavilion, Asia Society Texas' public art installation at the intersection of Oakdale and Caroline Streets.
About the Instructor
Dr. Bing You received a Master Degree of Medicine (equivalent to an MD degree in the U.S.) from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 1996. He is a Texas Licensed Acupuncturist and specializes in integrated Eastern-Western medicine.
His current appointments include President and Director of weMED Clinic Inc., Medical Advisory Board of Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and Vice President of Texas Acupuncture Association.
This program is organized by Asia Society Texas, in partnership with the Jung Center’s Mind Body Spirit Institute.
Heat Silhouette is commissioned in partnership with the University of Houston’s Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts.
