This 2022, a new batch of Asia 21 Young Leaders joins the vibrant community and will meet at the Asia 21 Summit in Japan. As a prelude, Asia Society Philippines, gathers Asia 21 Philippine Fellows to introduce its newest addition to the growing network and get to know them through their advocacies.
Asia 21 Trailblazers’ Conversations is a two-part series with each episode featuring three Asia 21 Philippine Fellows in casual and unmoderated conversations— reflecting on their own experiences and challenges while sharing their personal goals and goals for their respective industries.

Join us with Asia 21 Philippine Fellows and trailblazers in sustainability and climate resilience, Paolo Domondon, Atty. Lesley Cordero, and Love Gregorie Moral-Perez.
For Episode 2, The catch-up conversation will provides insight into their role as leaders in their respective fields, their experience as Asia 21 Leaders, and their dreams for the future they envision. It will also provide insight on how continue to better lives through sustainability and climate resilience.
PROFILES
Atty. Lesley Cordero is a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist at the World Bank based in Singapore. She is managing a two billion dollar Disaster Risk Management program (DRM) in the Philippines. She worked on innovative policies and instruments such as recovery frameworks; adaptive social protection measures; resilient infrastructure program; local government catastrophe risk insurance; and contingent financing facility for disasters. Prior to joining the Bank, Lesley was a public servant for more than 6 years. She served as an Undersecretary at the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines, coordinating the recovery efforts of the Government for Typhoons Yolanda in 2013 and Pablo in 2012. In 2011, Lesley served as Undersecretary at the Presidential Communications Operations Office and a Commissioner of the National Youth Commission in 2010.
Lesley graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree of Philosophy at University of San Carlos, has a Juris Doctor of Laws degree at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, and a Master’s degree in National Security Administration at the National Defense College of the Philippines. She is an Adjunct Faculty at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). She was awarded as one of The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines in 2020 and the ASEAN 40 under 40 in 2018.
Paolo Roberto Domondon is the incoming chief program officer at Global Fishing Watch, an international NGO that advances ocean governance through increased transparency of human activity at sea. He leads the development and implementation of strategies to advance the organization’s transparency vision through global program and policy work.
Previously, Domondon was the senior director of policy and partnerships at Rare, a leading behavior change organization for the environment. He led Rare’s grassroots and global policy around fisheries, oceans, climate, and biodiversity. He also recently initiated and led Coastal 500, the largest global network of mayors committed to revitalizing coastal communities.
Domondon also served as the youngest board member of the Philippines’ largest election citizen group, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting, and was the youngest board member and general manager of Gawad Kalinga’s regional office in Singapore.
Domondon has over 15 years of international development work experience in environmental and social sectors across various issues. He received his master’s degree from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore; and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s of science degree in psychology from De La Salle University in the Philippines.
Love Gregorie Moral-Perez is a Director at xchange, an impact-first investor and incubator for early stage social enterprises in the Philippines. where Greg works closely with entrepreneurs of xchange’s portfolio companies. Aside from this, Greg actively engages with other incubators to build the impact entrepreneurial ecosystem, is lead for Impact Pioneers Network - the first impact angel network in the Philippines, and was a delegate to the GenderSmart Investing Summit. Prior to joining xchange, Greg was Executive Director of Gifts and Graces Fair Trade Foundation, a social enterprise that provides product design and market access to artisans and micro-manufacturers in the Philippines. Greg has worked in the field of social development, innovation, and entrepreneurship for the last 15 years and is passionate about empowering women.
