The results of Taiwan’s Presidential elections on January 13 will have enormous consequences for the stability of the Taiwan Strait and for global geopolitics. What do the results of the elections mean for Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the World? Do the election’s results increase or reduce the chances of war in the Taiwan Strait? How will Taiwan’s new leadership reshape Taiwan? Join Asia Society Hong Kong Center for a conversation with Mr. David Lie, President’s Circle Member and Member of the CPPCC National Committee and Ronnie Chan, Chairman of Asia Society Hong Kong Center, to parse the results of the election and answer these questions and more.
