How Japan Can Overcome a Lack of Natural Energy Resources
NEW YORK, June 8, 2016 — In this clip, Yoriko Kawaguchi, a professor at the Meiji Institute for Global Affairs in Tokyo and former Minister of Foreign Affairs for Japan, describes the challenge of securing reliable energy resources in a country without a natural supply of coal, oil, or natural gas. Kawaguchi appeared in conversation with David Sandalow, the inaugural fellow at the Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy, at Asia Society on Wednesday.
