NEW YORK, September 28, 2019 — Artist Xiaoze Xie discusses his research into the history of censorship in China that inspired the exhibition Xiaoze Xie: Objects of Evidence, on view at Asia Society Museum in New York through January 2020. Joining him on the panel are Princeton University East Asia Library Director Martin Heijdra and PEN America Deputy Director of Free Expression Research and Policy James Tager in a conversation moderated by Asia Society Museum's Senior Curator of Contemporary Asian Art and Associate Director of the Triennial Michelle Yun.
