Five Monks, Five Days, One Sand Mandala
NEW YORK, February 23, 2014 — An up-close and personal look at monks from the Drigung Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism constructing a sand mandala at Asia Society Museum over the course of five days. The mandala they created is a Shitro mandala — "the mandala of the One Hundred Peaceful and Wrathful Deities." (3 min., 15 sec.)
