Family Artventure: Kabuki Prints
VIEW EVENT DETAILSJoin us at Asia Society this winter break for FREE activities to immerse yourself in Kabuki art and Japanese culture!
Start your Artventure by visiting our gallery to see current exhibition Tsuruya Kōkei: Modern Kabuki Prints Revised & Revisited, featuring nearly 100 Kabuki actor woodblock prints. Use our fun family guide to explore and learn together about the Kabuki theater tradition and woodblock print art.
The fun continues in our Water Garden Terrace! Inspired by the Kabuki Kumadori makeup designs, color your own Kabuki-inspired makeup designs. Then, try your hand at block printing inspired by Kōkei's woodblock prints to create a unique Kabuki souvenir to take home.
