In a world where "riches to rags in three generations" is a recurring phrase in almost every country, a few legacy families have managed to beat the odds and prosper — and stay united — across generations. Mark Haynes Daniell, author of Family Legacy and Leadership: Preserving True Family Wealth in Challenging Times, will address the history and lessons learned from these select families. Topics covered will include a broader definition of true family wealth, a practical framework for the development and implementation of legacy strategy and the full range of both the "hard" and "soft" issues necessary to address to keep a family's legacy alive and prospering.
Daniell is Chairman and founder of Raffles Family Wealth Trust, a Singapore-based advisory boutique focused on legacy families. He is also Chairman of Cuscaden Group, his own family office. A former senior partner at Bain & Company, Daniell has written seven books, most recently Family Legacy and Leadership: Preserving True Family Wealth in Challenging Times and Strategy for the Wealthy Family: Seven Principles to Assure Riches to Riches Across Generations. Daniell is a graduate of the Harvard Law School, Oxford University and Amherst College and the Phillips Exeter Academy.
