The Balancing Game: Decoding the U.S.-South Asia Relationship
VIEW EVENT DETAILSStephen Cohen will discuss the current geopolitical situation in the South Asian region, focusing particularly on the US relationship with India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Even as India's development continues at a breakneck pace, issues of democracy, security, and human development continue to plague the region. What security challenges lie ahead for the region, and what is the role of the United States in regulating security in South Asia. How has the US approach to South Asia changed under the Obama administration? Dr. Cohen will address these questions and expand on how the United States can engage with the governments and people of the region in an effort to promote stability and security.
