[WEBCAST] Executive Briefing | An Update From South Korea With H.E. James Choi, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea
VIEW EVENT DETAILSOnly three months ago, South Korea had the highest number of Coronavirus cases outside of China. How has the country successfully contained the spread of COVID-19 since then and how has the virus affected Korea’s economic and diplomatic relations?
Asia Society Australia warmly invites you to a private briefing with H.E. James Choi, Australian Ambassador to Korea. Despite a spike in COVID-19 cases in late February, South Korea has been highly praised for its effective management of the Coronavirus through testing and tracking. The Government's success in containing the virus is also largely credited for the ruling party’s landslide victory in the recent parliamentary elections and the country’s renewed focus on international assistance as demand for South Korean-made tests continues to climb.
Join us to hear Mr. James Choi’s thoughts on how COVID-19 is impacting the country’s economy, politics, and relationship with the region and to share your views on Australia’s sustained engagement with South Korea.
