Executive Roundtable on Women’s Leadership in U.S.- Asia Relations
VIEW EVENT DETAILSJoin us in-person in San Francisco for an Executive Roundtable with U.S. Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam
Across multiple sectors, women around the world are ascending to leadership roles. Each passing year marks new milestones as more women assume executive positions and top government positions, underscoring a positive trend towards gender diversity and inclusivity. However, there is a long ways to go when it comes to gender equality. UN Women statistics show that globally, only 22.8% of cabinet members and 26.5% of parliamentary positions belong to women. In the business world, Forbes announced that this year, the percentage of women CEOs for Fortune 500 Companies now lands at 10%. Although these figures demonstrate progress, there is still a considerable gap, particularly evident in Asian governments and businesses compared to their counterparts in the United States. Join us on June 11 from 11:to hear from Ambassador Caryn R. McClelland, U.S. Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, who will share her stories and suggestions for bolstering women’s leadership in U.S.-Asia relations.
