National Book Week Recommendations
National Book Week is celebrated every last week of November in the Philippines. It encourages reading and literacy among Filipinos, promotes public libraries, and arouses interest in reading good books.
In the enjoyment of the written word, Asia 21 Philippine Fellows have put in their recommendations for bookworms alike.

Asia Society Philippines capped off the celebration by adding in gems authored, created, and/or edited by the Asia 21 Philippine Fellows.
The captivating photobook, We Are Like Air, by Xyza Cruz Bacani capturing the many unspoken messages of love, strength, and dedication of migrant workers.
The engaging, Walk Manila by Lorelei De Viana and edited by Martin Lopez, taking us on a journey through the districts of heritage-rich Manila.
Lastly, the upcoming and enchanting Ambahan, by Quintin Pastrana and translated by Danton Remoto immortalizing and honouring the beauty of the Hanunuo Mangyan script.
All proceeds from the sale of Ambahan will support the Mangyan Heritage Center’s education programmes, and the Library Renewal Partnership’s community reading centre for the Hanunuo Mangyan in Oriental Mindoro.
