Asia Society to Host Asian Contemporary Art Week Signature Event for Arts Professionals, Oct. 26-27, 2014
Now in its ninth edition, Asian Contemporary Art Week--a citywide platform connecting major New York and Asia-based museums and galleries--introduces a new signature program, FIELD MEETING: CRITICAL OF THE FUTURE. This two-day forum at Asia Society in New York, October 26-27, 2014, is conceived as a studio visit on a communal scale. The event will feature a keynote presentation by Tom Finkelpearl, and commissioned performances from Haig Aivazian, Polit-Sheer-Form Office, Bavand Behpoor, and more. Artists, curators, and institutional leaders based in Asia and beyond will present recent projects and initiatives through a series of lecture-performances and discussions.
Space is limited and registration is required: scholars and arts professionals will receive priority. To register, contact [email protected] with full name, title, and affiliation.
