Screening with Surprises: Chef
HONG KONG, February 7, 2015 - In a cozy setting at our Landscape Terrace, the audience enjoyed a free screening of the light and heart-warming culnary film, Chef complete with mini popcorn boxes, fruit juices, and wine.
Just before the movie begins, actor Oliver Platt who played the food critic in the film and his brother Adam Platt, a real-life food critic make a pleasant surprise appearance to welcome the audience. The culinary film screening act as a prelude to Asia Society's 8th Ambassador Burton Levin Lecture series featuring the Platt brothers and their father, Nicholas Platt, President Emeritus of Asia Society, in which the family discussed about food and cultural diplomacy, with S. Alice Mong, Executive Director of Asia Society Hong Kong Center, as moderator.
