VIEW EVENT DETAILSAt this exclusive event, Ms Jan Adams PSM, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Australia's most senior trade official, will speak about the complexities and intricacies of negotiating Australia's landmark free-trade agreements with Korea, Japan and China.
Ms Adams was appointed Deputy Secretary in April 2013. Prior to that Ms Adams was First Assistant Secretary, Free Trade Agreement Division (from March 2009) and Australia’s lead negotiator for China, Japan, Korea and India bilateral FTA negotiations. Between 2005 and 2008 Ms Adams served as Ambassador for the Environment and Ambassador for Climate Change.
Ms Adams was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2007 for outstanding public service in pursuing Australia's international objectives on trade and the environment.
