The Asia Society Washington Center provides a forum in the nation's capital for diplomats, Members of Congress, government officials, journalists, scholars, artists, business executives and others to exchange views on a wide variety of subjects concerning Asia.

The Washington Center conducts more than fifty public programs per year on contemporary affairs, trade and investment, arts and culture. Programs are designed to allow time for questions from the audience and interaction among all those attending. Events include breakfasts with members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives, briefings by American ambassadors to Asian and Pacific countries, conferences on contemporary affairs, meetings on social and economic development topics, and cultural events co-hosted with Asian embassies.

Membership in the Asia Society Washington Center is open to the public and is encouraged for both the specialist and the non-expert who share an interest in the region. All members receive Asia in Washington, a calendar and newsletter published September through June by the Washington Center, which announces programs offered by more than fifty Washington area institutions and organizations as well as those of the Asia Society. The Asia Society Washington Center is pleased to announce our Asia á la Carte program. At participating restaurants, members are entitled to a 10% discount off of their total lunch or dinner bill for two (2) persons. This special benefit is available only to members of the Asia Society Washington Center. Please click here for more information.
