Join Houston art specialist Lea Weingarten for an insider tour of the second annual Texas Contemporary Art Fair. Peruse the booths under her expert guidance, with particular focus on Asian art and the highlights of this popular art event. A packet with tips on collecting contemporary art will be provided to all participants.

Tour meets promptly at noon at the Asia Society Texas Center booth in Hall A on Sunday, October 21st.

About Lea Weingarten
Lea Weingarten co-founded The Menil Collection’s popular Contemporaries collecting group at the personal request of Mme. Dominique de Menil, serves on the Board of the Glassell School Core Committee, of the Menil Society Committee, and on the Prints and Drawings Acquisitions Committee of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She has also served several terms on the Boards of the Contemporary Art Museum, Houston, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Houston, and Meals on Wheels, Houston. She travels extensively both nationally and internationally to art fairs, galleries and artist studios to meet the needs of her clients. Lea holds a BA from Tufts University and an MBA from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
She began the Weingarten Art Group (formerly Contemporary Connoisseur) in 2006, after more than fifteen years of working with both public and private art collections in achieving their collecting goals. The Weingarten Art Group’s clients include a Fortune 10 Company’s art collection acquisitions, national and international private collectors, and commercial enterprises seeking artwork and/or artist collaborations to satisfy a range of objectives.
