View transcript of Lisa Ling's Q&A with Honorees
For the past twenty-five years, the Asia Society has held Annual
Dinners honoring outstanding government and business leaders. This
year’s dinner looks to those whose daily lives blend Asia
and America as Asia Society honors five prominent Asian American
entrepreneurs. The past few decades have seen a growing number of
immigrants from Asia, who have brought their ambitions and considerable
energies to the United States. Arriving as children and young adults,
our Honorees’ success stories are born out of their Asian
heritage and the opportunities present in America. Each of the 2005
Honorees came to the United States from a different Asian country,
nurtured his or her own vision and turned it into reality by creating
a thriving, globally known business. The dinner is the major annual
corporate fundraising event and benefits all of Asia Society’s
programs and activities.
