This report is the first of several to be produced as a part
of a project on Cambodia and U.S. Policy cosponsored by the
Asia Society and the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International
Studies, Johns Hopkins University. The project, consisting of
a Washington-based Cambodia Policy Study Group, public meetings
in several American cities, and a series of occasional reports,
is funded by the United States Institute of Peace and the Center
for International Political Economy.
Catharin E. Dalpino and David G. Timberman
are codirectors of the Cambodia Policy Study Group. Catharin
Dalpino is also a guest scholar at the Brookings Institution.
David Timberman is a consultant to numerous foreign affairs
organizations, including the Asia Society and the National Democratic
Institute for International Affairs. Members of the Study Group
are listed at the end of this document.
