"Who Determines the Value of Art?"
Manila, Philippines – On 13 September 2014, the Salcedo Institute of Art, with the support of Asia Society Philippines and Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, hosted an art forum and panel discussion on the topic, "Who Determines the Value of Art?" at the Rockwell Tent, Makati.
Art patrons and members of the Asia Society and Zonta Club were treated to a lively and insightful discussion led by Karen Davila, moderator and award-winning broadcast journalist, and featured panelists Dr. Patrick Flores, art critic and curator of the Philippine Pavilion for the 2015 Venice Biennale, Kim Atienza, art collector, and Tony Godfrey, art educator and Director of Research for the Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
The panel discussion was held as a featured symposium in a series of lectures by the Salcedo Institute of Art, the education division of Salcedo Auctions in anticipation of The Well-appointed Life: An Auction Weekend.

About Salcedo Institute of Art:
Salcedo Institute of Art, established in 2014, is the education division of Salcedo Auctions. It hosts lectures on a wide range of topics related to art, culture, and design. Later this year, it will be inaugurating a selective internship program, as well as certificate courses in partnership with a leading Philippine educational institution.
