The APEC Business Advisory Council commissioned a team from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business to conduct a study on the competitive challenges developing in the APEC region caused by chronic rigidities in the international movement of labor ' challenges that are expected to get worse as populations age in key economies. The findings of the 11-strong study team not only describe in detail the region's labor market challenges, but propose model measures to eliminate obstacles from the labor "supply chain," and simplify complex and time-consuming procedures.

Co-presented by AIM Policy Center, the Philippine representatives to the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
