Asia Society Philippines’ Activities for the First Quarter of 2012
Asia Society Philippines will be having an activity-packed initial quarter for the year 2012. These activities include: Asia in My Pocket, Success Source Series and Howard Behar Talk. The Asia in My Pocket is a project launched last 2010, which aims to educate mid-career professionals on how to do business in Asia. For its second run, six Asian countries will be featured, which are China, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and India. The lectures will primarily discuss business etiquette, investment opportunities, industry trends and how to market their companies to the feature Asia countries. The first session that will be on January 12, 2012. Succeeding sessions will be on January 27, February 16, March 8, March 22 and April 5.
The Success Source Series: New Ways to Succeed is a series of talks for students and young professionals that aims to shed light on the different aspects of success through the young and successful Filipino leaders of today's generation. Its first session, entitled Make A Million Make a Difference, will feature young successful businessmen, such as Mr. Enrique Gonzalez, Mr. Mark Yu and Mr. Rommel Juan, who have earned their first million while being positive change-makers in the society. This will be held on January 14, 2012 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the AIM Conference Center.
Mr. Howard Behar, the former president of Starbucks International and the author of the book It’s Not About the Coffee , will be sharing his leadership experiences and principles on how he made Starbucks a worldwide success on February 8, 2012. A book signing will follow the talk. Starbucks would provide free coffee for all the participants. This would take place at the AIM Conference Center from 1 PM to 5 PM. Registrations before January 15 will have 10% discounts on their registration fees.
