Asian Pacific Islander Women in Leadership
VIEW EVENT DETAILSAsian America Now Program Series
Let’s gather together with inspiring API women leaders at the top levels of the American workplace. What are their thoughts and advice regarding their career trajectory? Overall corporate representation for API men and women is comparable to their population shares, but this representation drops sharply at senior corporate levels. The percentage drops even further with respect to API women. Recent media attention on Google, Facebook, Amazon, LinkedIn and other high tech giants and their diversity reports have showcased the odds stacked against people of color. What does the data tells us regarding API women in high tech leadership? We gather prominent API women from finance, film, high-technology and the academic sectors to explore the data, share success stories, lessons learned, and advice for both aspiring API women and existing leaders. What can we learn from these powerful women? How can we improve the chances of API women breaking the “bamboo ceiling” into the highest levels?
