In a world where human activity risks damaging the climate and environment, and resources are finite, we all need to find ways of living more smartly. This is not just about protecting the planet; it is about economic growth and business opportunity. To deliver the benefits, we need the right policy frameworks from governments to stimulate investment; science and technology innovation; and low carbon resource efficient businesses providing smart products and services. As a gateway to China and a dynamic financial and trading hub, Hong Kong could play a pivotal role in this game-changing transition. UK Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change the Rt. Hon. Edward Davey will share with us the UK’s green growth plan and challenge Hong Kong to play an even bigger part in winning the race towards a low carbon future.
