Photos: New York City School Kids Create Art 'Inspired by Lin Tianmiao'
NEW YORK, June 5, 2013 — Asia Society Museum marked the opening of Inspired by Lin Tianmiao: Works by New York City Students with a festive ceremony involving student artists from four New York City public schools — P.S. 182 and P.S. 94 in the Bronx, P.S. 200 in Manhattan, and P.S. 59 in Brooklyn — along with their teachers, teaching artists and parents. Incoming Asia Society President Josette Sheeran, Trustee Tom Freston, and philanthropist Agnes Gund were also on hand to meet with the young artists.
All four of the public schools represented in Inspired by Lin Tianmiao participate in Studio in a School, the nonprofit arts education program for New York City public schools founded by Agnes Gund.
