May 18: Asia Society Celebrates Art Museum Day with Free Admission
Admission to Asia Society Museum is FREE to all visitors on Sunday, May 18 as part of the Association of Art Museum Directors' (AAMD) Art Museum Day, which coincides with International Museum Day.
Between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm the museum will offer complimentary access to our three exhibitions:
- Golden Visions of Densatil: A Tibetan Buddhist Monastery
- Nalini Malani: Transgressions
- Himalayan Sculpture from the Asia Society Museum Collection
Please note: Sunday is in fact the final day for the Golden Visions of Densatil exhibition, so Art Museum Day is not only your last chance to get to it, it's also a great opportunity to see it for free. Nalini Malani: Transgressions and Himalayan Sculpture are on view through August 3, 2014.
We look forward to welcoming you at 725 Park Avenue (at East 70th Street). The Museum and AsiaStore are open from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, and you can also try the new spring menu at our Garden Court Café from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Visitors are encouraged to share their Art Museum Day experiences via social media using the hashtag #ArtMuseumDay. Find the Asia Society Museum on Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare.
