Bringing Home the Lost Children of Nepal
VIEW EVENT DETAILSFeaturing:
Conor Grennan, author, Little Princes: One Man's Promise to Bring Home the Lost Children of Nepal
Despite the end of Nepal's decade-long conflict in 2006, during which tens of thousands of children from small villages were trafficked into Kathmandu, the marketing and migration of children continues. While volunteering at a Nepali orphanage in 2005, Conor Grennan discovered the true, tragic story of the "orphans" under his care and wrote Little Princes in response. Little Princes recounts the conditions that gave birth to Next Generation Nepal, the nonprofit dedicated to reuniting trafficked children with their families. NGN continues to impact lives torn apart by trafficking because of Grennan's commitment to bring home the lost children of Nepal.
'The beauty of this book is partly the fact that it is a memoir. But it is also more than that. I defy you to not be inspired or moved by this saga.''New York Journal of Books
Little Princes will be available for sale and signing. It is also available at AsiaStore.
Policy programs at the Asia Society are generously supported by the Nicholas Platt Endowment for Public Policy.
