How BnA Is Using Hospitality to Empower Local Artistic Communities (Recap)
You may have stayed in a hotel that showcased art on its walls or a sculpture created by a renowned artist, but have you ever stayed in a hotel room that is an art piece? Yu Tazawa, Founder and CEO of BnA (Bed and Art) did just that, creating an art hotel that is an art piece designed by artists.
In his presentation, “Stay in an Art Piece, Support an Artist—How BnA is Using Hospitality to Empower Local Artistic Communities,” he took us through how he has designed and operated art hotels in the creative neighborhood of Koenji, Suginami, to Akiharabara, Kyoto, and Nihonbashi. He is connecting artists, local communities, and the hospitality industry. It’s a unique concept, to say the least. With renewed interests from overseas, BnA projects are now going abroad.
