Women Who Dared: Focus on Korean Women Filmmakers
VIEW EVENT DETAILSThe Yeonghwa Film Club at the Korean Cultural Centre India turns the spotlight on women filmmakers from Korea this month. It opens with a series of films, exploring not just the images of women on-screen but celebrating their presence behind the camera. The selection of films celebrates the complexity of women’s lives, exploding myths and shaking up perceptions about the kinds of stories women tell about themselves. Locating gender in the space of production, the series look at the diverse cinematic languages employed by women film directors from Korea.
