Video: Dreaming Against the World
HONG KONG, January 18, 2017 – The evening screening of Dreaming Against the World portrayed Chinese artist Mu Xin’s personal story as he endangered his life to write and paint while in solitary confinement, during the turbulent years of the Cultural Revolution. The screening was followed by a discussion of Mu Xin's work, joined by associate professor of HKU School of Chinese Aihe Wang, executive producer Fredrick L. Gordon, PhD candidate in the HKU School of Chinese Ouyang Kaibin, and publisher of Orientations magazine Yifawn Lee as moderator. (42 min., 46 sec.)
