Thanksgiving with Chef Benjamin Ford at Asia Society Hong Kong Center
HONG KONG, December 3, 2013 – It was a feast at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center on November 23, an early Thanksgiving Day celebration featuring celebrity chef Benjamin Ford, son of Hollywood actor Harrison Ford. The Center hosted a barbeque during the day and a black-tie gala in the evening.
Over 160 guests joined us for the Thanksgiving barbeque, filled with an afternoon of live jazz music and American delicacies designed by Chef Ford. All of the event’s proceeds went to Food Angel to help build a sustainable food culture for Hong Kong. The epicurean journey continued through to the evening featuring Chef Ford’s specially designed Thanksgiving dinner menu that pays tribute to culinary traditions and cultural offerings from various American states. Complementing the food was an East-meets-West razzle-dazzle that combined jazz music from the U.S. and northeast China for a warm and festive evening.
Thanks to the U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong, the State Department, the U.S. Agricultural Trade Office for the opportunity of the debut collaboration for the festival.
