The Grandeur of Chinese Art Treasures: Min Chiu Society Golden Jubilee Exhibition

In celebration of the Min Chiu Society's 50th anniversary, the exhibition showcases arts and antiquities from the prehistoric period to the Qing dynasty. On display are excellent examples of Chinese ceramics, jade carvings, gold and silverware, enamelware, rhinoceros horn carving, snuff bottles, furniture, and scholarly objects. Also on view are important paintings and calligraphy works by renowned artists from the Tang to the Qing dynasties as well as modern masters including Shen Zhou, Dong Qichang, Wu Changshuo, Zhang Daqian, Lin Fengmian, and Wu Guanzhong.
Founded in 1960, the Min Chiu Society is made up of a group of local connoisseurs with eminent collections of Chinese antiquities and paintings. To mark its golden jubilee, Society members are sharing with the public 340 of the finest treasures from their invaluable collections.
