ART HK is the leading showcase for international contemporary art in Asia. In its third year, more than 150 galleries from 29 different countries will be represented at the fair, presenting a unique opportunity for collectors and art lovers to view work of a quality and geographical diversity not available elsewhere. Returning to the fair this year will be leading galleries including Gagosian, and the White Cube. The strength of Chinese galleries is unprecedented this year, with over 25 galleries from the mainland. Asia Society members will have the opportunity to go on an exclusive sneak preview of the fair before its official opening. Independent curator Philip Tinari will lead a tour on some of the up-and-coming artists among the Chinese galleries.
Tinari is a Beijing-based art critic and curator. He is contributing editor to Artforum and teaches art criticism and theory at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Tinari recently became editor-in-chief of LEAP, the bilingual art magazine of contemporary China.
