Chinese business leader Ni Xiangyu discusses Tianjin's economic zone
"The Tianjin Economic - Technological Development Area (TEDA) is among the pioneering zones in China."
"The IT industry, the auto industry, and the chemical industry have huge potential for growth in TEDA. "
"In terms of economic growth and the manufacturing bases, Tianjin was told to become the modern manufacturing base in R&D and also the shipping center. This is a most challenging job as we also have to build for an environmentally livable area. This is an exception because in the world you can hardly find a livable city that hosts manufacturing bases. But we have to because industrialization is only beginning for China and this is so large a country. But we have to do this; it is a very big challenge. "
"Because so many big companies from around the world are in Tianjin, and many of the foreign enterprises are under construction there now, they will bring about an industry change. So the expansion will be bigger and bigger in the coming five years, I believe; there will be even more exciting growth."
