Gopal Rajagopalan is Managing Director of Schoolnet India Limited, an Institution
sponsored by Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited (IL&FS). Schoolnet seeks to leverage technology to build an e-business for the learning training segments ranging from its K-10 program to Adult and Vocational training. Gopal also serves on the board of IL&FS where he has been involved in the development of Join Ventures and projects in telecom, infrastructure, private equity and e-business applications. He also supervises the health initiatives being developed in conjunction with education as part of the composite social infrastructure agenda.

Gopal has over 22 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector, including in investment banking, private equity, capital markets and project finance. He currently serves as a member on a number of Committees and Expert Groups, both national as well as international, in the area of infrastructure, telecomunications, financial services and education. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Madras and an MBA from the Jamanalal Bajaj Institute, University of Bombay.
