Australia and China: Growing on Multiple Fronts
MELBOURNE, June 19, 2009 – Over 30 high-profile Australian and Chinese businessmen, academics and policy makers engaged in a lively and frank discussion with Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr Zhang Junsai at an Asia Society AustralAsia Centre private CEO luncheon briefing.
With a strong reputation of being a forthright and insightful speaker, Ambassador Zhang told corporate Centre members of China’s plans for forging a closer relationship with Australia on multiple fronts, such as mineral trade, education and economic affairs.
Ambassador Zhang is a career diplomat who was appointed Ambassador to Australia in 2007. His previous assignment was as Deputy Director General, North American and Oceania Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, People’s Republic of China.
