COVID-19, the official name of the coronavirus, continues to spread around the world. As of Monday, there are now more than 110,000 cases in over 90 countries and just under 4,000 deaths. But the part of the world where the impact has been greatest remains Wuhan, capital of China's Hubei Province, where the outbreak first began.
Dr. Bruce Aylward, assistant director-general of the World Health Organization, led the WHO delegation to China in late February, visiting healthcare facilities and speaking with physicians and professionals on the frontlines of the outbreak. In this episode of Asia In-Depth, he speaks with Asia Society Executive Vice President Tom Nagorski about what he saw on his trip and, as the virus becomes a truly global problem, what other countries can learn from China's experience.
