Asialink and the Asia Society AustraAsia Centre in collaboration with the Australia China Business Council are honoured to host a business luncheon with HE Dr. Geoff Raby, Australian Ambassador to the People's Republic of China.
After 30 years of economic expansion, China's next Five Year Plan highlights for the first time a reduction in economic growth targets and a greater emphasis on sustainable growth. Dr. Raby's address at lunch will explore the implications of the Five Year Plan for Australia's own economic growth.
Dr. Geoff Raby has served as Australia's Ambassador to China since February 2007. Prior to this he was Deputy Secretary since November 2002 and his responsibilities included lead negotiator on WTO matters, China FTA Taskforce and bilateral relations with North Asia.
This luncheon is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade.
