The Asia21 Public Service AwardAs part of the Asia Society's Asia 21 Young Leaders Initiative, each year the Asia Society Asia 21 Fellows select and present the Asia Society Asia 21 Public Service Award to acknowledge projects and organizations which benefit underprivileged social and economic groups, communities, and the public in the Asia-Pacific region. The Award consists of prize money of $10,000 generously donated by our founding international sponsor, Merrill Lynch, and the active support of the Asia 21 Fellows class in providing the selected public service organization with access to the Fellows' network for program development as well as in helping to replicate the models of successful projects throughout Asia. Key Dates: June – August 18, 2008: Call for Nominations All proposals for the Asia 21 2008 PSA should be submitted by email to the Jury Administrator (details on the application form). August 18 – September 2008: Review of Proposals and the selection of Top Ten nominees Proposals will be reviewed against the assessment criteria described in the application. September 2008: Announcement of Finalists on the Asia Society website November 15, 2008: Recipient of Asia 21 2008 PSA announced at the Presentation Ceremony, to take place in Tokyo during Asia Society's 2008 Asia 21 Young Leaders Summit.
