Congratulations to the India-Pakistan 21 Regional Young Leaders Class of 2014!
New York – Asia Society is delighted to announce the India-Pakistan 21 Regional Young Leaders Class of 2014, a diverse group of 12 dynamic and accomplished individuals who are committed to addressing the most fundamental issues confronting the South Asian region, particularly those affecting India-Pakistan relations. During their year-long fellowship, this third cohort of fellows will leverage their collective brain trust to explore opportunities for greater collaborative endeavors in redressing the region’s common challenges. The 2014 Class of fellows are meeting in New Delhi from August 1st-3rd. Please join us in welcoming them to the Asia 21 family!
The Class of 2014 has committed to:
Attend the India-Pakistan Regional Young Leaders Forum during the summer, and then the annual Asia 21 Young Leaders Summit;
Collaboratively develop a cross-border public service project as part of the community-building process;
Work with a media consultant to implement a broad media outreach strategy on the challenges of leadership for India and Pakistan that also highlights the profiles and work of the young leaders; and
Connect to Asia 21 groups, which will link them to leaders from across Asia within particular sectors (media, government, business, arts, etc.)
The India-Pakistan Regional Young Leaders initiative is closely associated with the Asia 21 Young Leaders network, which was launched in 2006 to develop next generation leaders across the Asia-Pacific region. Today, Asia 21 has become the leading next generation leaders network in the Asia-Pacific, with over 850 active members from more than 25 countries and economies and across all sectors.
