Alexandra Mackenzie (Cello) made her professional debut at ten years of age performing string trios at London's Royal Albert Hall. Since then she has toured throughout Europe and North America as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician. Alexandra is passionately committed to exploring all aspects of the cello repertoire and her concerto performances range from Haydn and Elgar through to Lutoslawski, Godard and Wagenseil. An advocate of contemporary music, Alexandra can frequently be heard with the Construction Company Sting Quartet, the SEM ensemble, the Downtown Ensemble and Ensemble Sospeso.
