Jackie Leclair (Oboe) is a native of Syracuse, New York. Ms. Leclair resides in New York City and is the oboist for the Vanguard Chamber Players, the Cygnus Ensemble, and Ensemble Sospeso. She is faculty at Mannes College, maintains a private studio, and can be heard performing regularly in New York City. Ms. Leclair is particularly interested in the study and performance of new music. She has premiered many works, and regularly presents classes in contemporary music and its techniques at schools and conferences, most recently at the Eastman School of Music, UCLA, Brigham Young University and the North Carolina School of the Arts. Ms. Leclair's edition of Luciano Berio's Sequenza VII is published by Universal Edition, Vienna.
