Allen Hahn (Lighting Designer) Recent opera work includes Mitridate at Santa Fe Opera, La Fanciulla del West for Opera Zuid in the Netherlands, Der Freischutz in Bilbao, Spain, Rinaldo at New York City Opera and Luisa Miller for the Spoleto USA Festival. Allen has designed the lighting for the first two productions of New York's Henry Street Chamber Opera including the double bill of Henry Purcell and Darius Milhaud earlier this month. Allen has also designed for the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and a number of productions for Opera Français de New York. Allen's design work for the choreographer Donald Byrd has been seen extensively in the United States and he has had longstanding affiliations with both The Builders Association and Big Red Media, two New York based theater companies. |
