“The effects of Agent Orange is such a horrible subject that I didn’t want to represent it in a way that was actual or physical, through documentary photographs for example, because this might create a sensation and objectify the children. I also feel that this approach turns people off. I don’t want people to run away from the issue. I want them to spend the time to think about it.”
