The 2006 Asia 21 Young Leaders Summit
The 2006 Seoul Summit, which was held from November 15 to 19, focused on the theme “Shaping an Asia-Pacific Century: Challenges and Choices.”
The opening session explored the broad implications of Asia’s explosive, but uneven growth, and examined the challenges and opportunities raised by this growth. Other session topics at the 2006 Summit included building healthy and inclusive societies. A panel discussion also explored how blogging and other forms of citizens media are transforming the information environment in the Asia-Pacific region.
At the 2006 Summit, the Asia 21 Public Service Award was presented to the Chi Heng Foundation.
