The 12th Asia Roundtable: Bangladesh-India-Japan Trilateral Cooperation in the Bay of Bengal
The Bangladesh-India-Japan Trilateral Cooperation in the Bay of Bengal initiative, introduced by Prime Minister Kishida of Japan during his visit to Delhi, holds significant promise for fostering collaboration among these states. Building upon this momentum, Foreign Minister Hayashi has reaffirmed Tokyo's commitment to the successful implementation of this trilateral framework. This edition of The Asia Roundtable analysed the multifaceted challenges and potential opportunities inherent in the cooperation between Bangladesh, India, and Japan in the Bay of Bengal region, with speakers Amb. Shahidul Haque (ICCR Bangabandhu Chair, Delhi University and Former Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh) and Prof. Sreeradha Datta (School of International Affairs, O.P Jindal Global University). The conversation was moderated by Amb. Riva Ganguly Das (Former Secretary (East), MEA, India and Former High Commissioner to Bangladesh).
